Rohana 98th on APGA Tour by Lal Gunesekera Anura Rohana, one of Sri Lanka's professional golfers, fared creditably well to finish the Asian Professional Golfers Association (APGA) Tour in 98th position out of over 300 players. Rohana finished 22nd in the Indian Open at Delhi with rounds of 64,74,69 and 76, while being 27th at the Double 'A' Masters Championships in Pattaya, Thailand with rounds of 74,68,73,70. He now leaves for Malaysia next month (January) to attend the Qualifying School to play again on the APGA Tour next year (2006). Earlier in the year, Rohana, fared well to finish 24th at the Volkswagen Masters in Beijing, China with rounds of 70,68,71,75, but failed to make the "out" at the Singapore Open. Meanwhile, Lalith Kumara, Sri Lanka's second professional is presently playing on the Indian Professional Golfers Association (IPGA) Tour. He was earlier unsuccessful at the Hyundai TNGF Open in Chennai and the Hero Honda Open South in Bangalore, where he failed to make the "out". |
