Committee to review new Tourism Law

Minister of Tourism Anura Bandaranaike has appointed a committee of three persons to fully study the new Tourism Law. The special committee comprises H. M. S. Samaranayake, former chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourist Board as the Chairman of the committee.

The other two members are Ranjith Perera, former Director General of the Sri Lanka Tourist Board, and Ananda Kasturiarachchi, Attorney-at-Law.

The Secretariat will function at the Sri Lanka Tourist Board where they will make their recommendations on the administrative reforms needed to the Sri Lanka Tourist Board to take the tourism industry forward, under the guidance of the Minister, Ministry of Tourism and Sri Lanka Tourist Board.
