Wattala Group correspondent USS Services have successfully negotiated an export order to the Maldives. USS Services is a leading importer and an award-winning enterprise in the distribution of High Quality Fiberglass Raw Materials, Industrial Chemicals, Insulation Materials, Marine and Hardware Items. The company won the prestigious "Sunfo" Economic Development International Award for their noteworthy input to the fiberglass industry. They also won international recognition for their outstanding contribution in developing the economy of Sri Lanka. This was in response to meet the immediate, massive reconstruction requirements of quality fiberglass raw materials that were urgently needed in post tsunami Sri Lanka to facilitate the requirements of the fishing industry that had been hard hit by the catastrophe. By ensuring that high quality was always maintained and by marketing at competitive prices, USS Services have consistently brought in much needed foreign exchange to the country. This was the 20th such containerload, which was being shipped to the Maldives. This experience has encouraged the company to look for potential buyers abroad. Chairman, USS Services, Udaya Kulatilleke said they were greatly encouraged by this transaction and were now scouting the Asian markets for further exports. Director Sarath Silva said their insistence on the very best quality and competitive pricing had paid rich dividends and enabled the company to grow rapidly. |
