Trane and Abans inspire customers The Trane Convention 2006, a customer initiative program was held at the Hotel Galadari recently. Organised by Trane USA and the Central Air Conditioning Division of Abans Ltd., the convention celebrated Trane's increasing popularity in the Sri Lankan market. Director of Abans Group Clive Fernando, delivered the welcome address. In an effort to reach out to the participants, including leading Air Conditioning Consultants, Corporate Sector Engineers, Architects, Property Owners and the Board of Directors of the Abans Group, several technical presentations were made by representatives from Trane detailing Trane products; Chillers, Air Handling Units, Fan Coils, Building Automation Systems and Services. Team Leader-Applied Equipment, Trane India Liaison Office N. Sriram, presented the Corporate Profile of the Trane Organisation and its major installations with an insight into the latest technology developed by Trane and introduced to the world market. Trane Chillers have experienced a marked sales growth in Sri Lanka during the last two years. These are installed at the Bandaranaike International Airport, Parliament Complex, Colombo National Hospital, Sri Lankan Catering, Stone 'N' String and Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital, World Trade Centre and Hilton Colombo. Team Leader-Building Automation Systems, Trane India Liaison Office Mani Subramaniam outlined Trane's BMS software System and how it can benefit the user. He spoke on Trane's factory mounted control options and their advantages to owners and contractors. Sales Engineer Services, Trane India Liaison Office, Sai Srikkanth, focused preventive maintenance results in energy savings. He also spoke on Trane's automatic tube cleaning system, Eddy current testing, oil analysis and IAQ chemicals. |
