AMW donates school uniforms and shoes Associated Motorways Limited as part of its corporate social responsibility projects donated school uniforms to all students of Siri Sariputta Maha Vidyalaya, Slave Island, Colombo 2 at a ceremony at the school. Sixty pairs of shoes were also donated. The donation was made by Deputy Chairman/Managing Director of the AMW group Tilak de Zoysa. Zonal Director of Education of the Department of Education I.Karunamuni and other officials of the department with the principal of the school Samantha Ratnayake, Ranjan de Silva, Deputy Managing Director, M. Ashan de Zoysa, Director Group General Manager, Aswin de Silva, Finance Director, Prasanne Lenaduwa, Director, General Manager ARI, Leo Samson, Human Resources Manager, Ms Dilani Yatawaka, General Manager Finance and J. Malalalakara Welfare Manager of the company were also present. Associated Motorways is also considering a request made by its principal to part sponsor the sports meet and look into other human development needs of the students. The uniform set given will be in addition to the set of uniforms given by the government so that students will have two sets of uniforms for the year. |
