Two sets of Travel Guide books printed by the Ministry of Tourism specially for the domestic traveller was presented to President Mahinda Rajapakse by the Minister of Tourism Anura Bandaranaike during a discussion at the President's Office with the Minister of Tourism.

The first volume gives details of various accommodation facilities available along the Bentota, Embilipitiya tourist route while the second volume covers Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Matale, Badulla, Anuradhapura and the Polonnaruwa districts.

This contains details of Tourist Board registered star class hotels and small hotels and resorts unregistered with the Tourist Board. The Guide book which is distributed free contains contact details, route and facilities available.
