A lifetime opportunity, says NDB Bank winner Not many depositors get a chance to fly to the continent of his or her choice, everything found and dollars to spend. One NDB Bank savings account holder, Mrs. Lalitha Padmini Brouwar of Dehiwela was the lucky one. She won two return air tickets and US dollars 2000 to travel to all countries in a continent of her choice. "A lifetime opportunity to travel to all countries in a continent with US $2000 spending money", she said. Among the large number of NDB Bank customers who opened savings accounts with the hope of exploring the world at the end of nine months, she had the good fortune of being the sole winner of the Grand Draw. To qualify customers had to maintain a minimum daily balance of Rs. 20,000 in the savings account for one month prior to the draw. "The response was most encouraging. The savings account holders found it a very exciting promotion", Indrajit Wickremasinghe, NDB Bank's Vice President - Consumer Banking and Marketing said. "With each multiple of Rs. 20,000 giving an additional chance, there were many who maintained additional amounts thereby increasing their chances of winning". All customers maintaining the specified amount in any of the NDB Bank savings accounts were eligible for these draws. From April to November last year, monthly draws were held where eight lucky winners won a return air ticket to any destination in Asia. In addition, three branch draws were held in June, September and December, where 54 branch winners were sent to India, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Dubai. These winners too were also eligible for the Grand Draw. Sixty-three savings account holders got the opportunity to travel to different destinations under NDB Bank savings promotion. |
