Gateway Inter-International Champs for fifth time

Gateway College won the Inter-International Athletic Meet for the fifth time out of six years when they totalled 348 points at the Sugathadasa Stadium last Sunday.

In the Overall Championships, Lyceum International School, Wattala came second with 310 points and Colombo International School were placed third with 228 points.

The meet this year organised by Lyceum International School and there were around 1,500 athletes from 19 leading International Schools that participated in the meet in 125 events.

The list of awards won are:

Wycherly International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 9 Girls' Champion won by Suwetha Ramaraja of Asian International School.

Alethea International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 9 Boys' Champion won by Thaher Akbarally of Asian International School.

Lyceum International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 9 Overall Championship won by Asian International School.

Colombo International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 11 Girls' Champion won by Genavi Geraldeen Caldera of Lyceum International School, Wattala. Ikra International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 11 Boys' Champion won by Esala Liyanage of Lyceum International School.

St. Nicholas' International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 11 Overall Championship won by Lyceum International Schoo,l Wattala.

St. Nicholas' International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 13 Girls' Champion won by Lukni Gunasinghe of Royal Institute.

Leighton Park International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 13 Boys' Champion won by Mohamed Farook of Lyceum International School, Wattala.

British International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 13 Overall Championship won by Lyceum International School, Wattala.

Asian International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 15 Girls' Champion won by Hansani Eranga Kannangara, Lyceum International School, Wattala.

Belvoir International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 15 Boys' Champion won by Raniska Perera of OKI International School.

Colombo International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 15 Overall Championship won by Colombo International School, Colombo.

Leighton Park International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 17 Girls' Champion won by Udara Rathnayake of Gateway College, Colombo. Lyceum International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 17 Boys' Champion won by Rohan Silva of Leiughton Park International School.

Stafford International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 17 Overall Championship won by Colombo International School, Colombo.

College of World Education Challenge Trophy for the Under 19 Girls' Champion won by Vinindu Subasinghe of Gateway College, Colombo and Shayanara Sembukuttiarachchi of Gateway College, Colombo.

Belvoir International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 19 Boys' Champion won by Gayan Dharmasiri of Gateway College, Colombo.

Alethea International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 19 Overall Championship won by Gateway College, Colombo.

Elisabeth Moir International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 20 Girls' Champion won by Lakshi Perera of OKI International School and Rehane Perera of Colombo International School, Colombo. Elisabeth Moir International School Challenge Trophy for the Under 20 Boys' Champion won by Tuan Miskin of Lyceum International School, Nugegoda.

Ritzbury Challenge Cup for the Best Girl Athlete won by Udara Rathanayake of Gateway College, Colombo - Under 17, Performance - 100 m 13.18 seconds, 200 m 27.35 seconds.

Ritzbury Challenge Cup for the Best Male Athlete won by Gayan Dharmasiri of Gateway College, Colombo - Under 17, Performance - High Jump 1.97 meters.

Optimum Q Trophy for the Best Performance of the Meet awarded by Optimum Q International (Pvt) Ltd., won by Udara Rathnayake of Gateway College, Colombo - Under 17, Performance - 100 m 13.18 seconds, 200 m 27.35 seconds.

Royal Institute Challenge Trophy for the Runners-up School of the Meet won by Lyceum International School, Wattala.

Gateway International School Challenge Trophy for the Overall Champions of the Meet won by Gateway College, Colombo.

Additional Trophy donated by Edexcel for the Overall Champions of the Meet won by Gateway College, Colombo.
