I was extremely happy to hear your achieving another milestone in your brilliant career getting 600th wicket in test cricket. A few days ago, you were able to notch another landmark in your illustrious career i.e. to get the 1000th wicket in both test and limited over cricket.

We, as Sri Lankans, are very proud of your achievements. You have brought glory and recognition to this small island. We have been able to show the world that we have very capable people in our country because of people like you.

This is to convey my warmest greeting and best wishes, and I am sure all Sri Lankans join me in conveying their good wishes to you. Your achievements in the field, we watch with great admiration and much hope. I believe this is just another landmark in your career and you will be able to achieve many more in the years to come.
