Sampath Bandara reporting from Australia

Seventy odd competitors of the Sri Lanka contingent for the 18th Commonwealth Games to be staged in Melbourne, Australia from March 15 to 26 leave the island tonight (Sunday) led by Asian Games gold medallist Damayanthi Darsha.

Sri Lanka will be represented in Athletics, Badminton, Boxing, Gymnastics, Rugby 7's, Swimming, Squash, Shooting, Table Tennis and Weight Lifting.
