Top garment investment from Italy

Benji Limited Company signed an agreement with the Board of Investment (BOI) under the 300 Factories Program, which plays an important role in the government's economic plan.

Benji Limited is a 100% Italian investment with two sister companies in Sri Lanka, Omega Line Ltd, set up in 1998 in Sandalankawa and Serio Limited, established in 2001 in Badalgama. The companies operating successfully in rural areas in Sri Lanka have decided to expand their presence in the country.

Benji Limited will have a state-of-the-art factory in Bingiriya, which is identified as a "difficult area" under the 300 FP. The estimated investment of this project is Rs. 760 million and the employment generated is 1,534. Benji's product lines will include mainly lingerie (non quota garments) The parent company of Benji Limited will sell their products through a network of over 1,250 shops in Europe.

They also have their internationally recognised own label namely "Intimissimi" for lingerie products.
