Astrologer predicts Vasudeva Nanayakkara as the next Mayor of Colombo. A well-known astrologer from Gampaha, P. Jayatilleke last week predicted that Vasudeva would become the next Mayor of Colombo even against Sirisena Cooray who is yet to obtain the 'Elephant' symbol.

Jayatilleke, in 2000 predicted the death of late Sirima Bandaranaike on the day of the general election.

Last year, he predicted the defeat of UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe at the presidential election. Jayatilleke had predicted that though Wickremesinghe appeared to gather momentum, he would be defeated at the last minute and would never lead the country for a period of nineteen years from 2005.
