Senior journalist's funeral

Senior Journalist Daya Gunatilleke who was earlier attached to the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Ltd, (Lake House) passed away last Friday.

His funeral will take place today at 6pm at Godigamuwa cemetery at Maharagama yesterday.

He was a journalist well versed in English and had functioned as a translator cum an interpreter at the Parliament. A number of English texts had been translated into Sinhala, by him.

His wife P. M. D. P. Gunatilleke is a retired teacher. Her eldest son Dr. Shama Gunatilleke is attached to the Maharagama Cancer hospital.

The second son Chapa Gunatilleke is a teacher at the International School at Bambalapitiya.
