Galileo Lanka to showcase future of travel

Galileo Sri Lanka, the Sri Lankan distributor of Galileo International Global Distribution System and Services, will showcase its content, functionality and automation tools for Travel Management Services to its subscriber partners at the Ceylon Continental in Colombo on May 16.

Galileo Product Solutions Day is designed to help travel industry professionals learn and understand how to apply end-to-end solutions that incorporate Galileo Products. The seminars are intended for management and travel consultants of outbound travel management companies.

It will consist of two segments, thought provoking workshops conducted by resource persons from Galileo International, based in Langley UK, and from the Dubai regional offices, and live demonstrations of the same solutions in trade show fashion.

The facilitators will share their views on many of the exciting solutions that are available for achieving success as outbound travel management services organisations in Sri Lanka.

Chillies Awards Week

The newly instituted advertising awards - the Chillies - will take place on May 20 at the Sri Lanka Exhibition and Convention Centre (SLECC) in Colombo. The annual awards week is a product of the Joint Advertising Industry Initiative (JAII), a body representing the majority of agencies in the Sri Lankan advertising industry.

The advertising industry has come together as one to support this effort and to take personal pains to ensure that the Chillies are mounted along international lines and serve to uplift the creative standards in the local ad industry substantially.

Colombo Show 2006 from May 18-21

The Colombo Show 2006, Sri Lanka's premier international gem and jewellery trade fair will be held from May 18 to 21 at the BMICH new wing.

The trade fair is co-sponsored by the newly formed Association of Gem and Jewellery Industry under the principal sponsorship of Ceylinco Gem Corp International Ltd.

'Emerging opportunities in business'

The HSBC Corporate Leaders' Conference will be held on May 16 from 8.30 a.m. - 1 p.m. at the Colombo Hilton. The theme of this year's conference is "Emerging opportunities in business."
