Over 250 stalls at Construct 2006
The sixth annual exhibition of the National Construction Association
of Sri Lanka (NCASL), Construct 2006, will take place from August 4 to 6
at the Sirimavo Bandaranaiake Memorial International Exhibition Centre.
The event will coincide with NCASL's silver jubilee. Construct 2006
will have over 250 stalls this year.
The event is expected to bring together the whole value chain of the
building and construction industry for dissemination and sharing of
knowledge.
It is also expected to showcase new and improved skills and
technology in the industry, chairman, Construct 2006 organising
committee, Mahanama Jayamanne said.
The exhibition will also include a gallery for suppliers and service
providers to exhibit their latest machinery and equipment, some of it
said to be of the state-of-the-art type.
The exhibition will also represent companies from Malaysia, China,
India, Singapore and beyond who supply goods and have links with the
NCCASL membership.
The exhibition is expected to feature the latest products,
technologies and services in the sector and be a meeting ground for
wholesalers and retail suppliers of the industry with builders,
engineers, contractors, architects, developers and others involved in
today's booming market for construction.
Property, lighting equipment, air conditioners, furniture and
interior decor, floor and wall material, timber and wood, building
hardware and tools, roofing material, construction machinery and
equipment will also be displayed.
Among the sponsors will be CIC Paints, DIMO, agents for Komatsu
earthmoving machinery, Central Industries Ltd, makers of PVC pipes and
fittings, and the official banker, HNB, who will promote loans for
housing and other construction. |
