The Rebranded Heritance Hallmark for all Aitken Spence Hotels
numbering 17 islandwide was launched at a media briefing on Wednesday.
The significance of Aitken Spence, the Company was very ably
highlighted to the distinguished gathering at the Aitken Spence Roof Top
Tower by Rajan Britto, Deputy chairman, Aitken Spence.
A once empirical days trading house founder over 140 years ago in
1868 which had as its mainline shipping, plantations and insurance from
the 1970's branched aggressively into tourism that has yielded good
growth.
Another paradigm shift was in the 1990's to power infrastructure.
Britto made mention of excellence, being trustworthy while increasing
value to their shareholders and stakeholders with the well intentioned
corporate social responsibility, being morally alive and mindful of the
heartfelt needs and desires, the hopes and aspirations of the fellow
citizen are the standards of Aitken Spence to which high value and
adherence of same is placed.
The parent company too would be rebranded- that is something in the
pipeline. Heritance living the brand the honour and the legacy shall be
maintained with their one of a kind Kandalama Tea factory, Triton where
the fusion with environment coupled with excellent tasteful architecture
has been unique and tasteful to not just the discerning frequent
visitor, but to all.
Being articulate giving pride of place to members of the staff from

cleanliness of the premises down to exacting details of excellence in

ethic at Aitken Spence Heritance Hotels, Britto said.
The group Director of Aitken Spence Hotels Malin Hapugoda counts over
30 years in the hoteleering and leisure industry. Naturally the Aitken
Spence group is proud of its hotels and also the other hotels in the
Maldives it holds with others in partnership.
The next target is to build a heritance hotel in Colombo, Britto
added. Responding to a question raised Britto said 65 percent to 70
percent profit comes in the form of income generated from tourism and
the hotel trade.
