Boat Capsizes

A boat with refugees capsized in mid seas off the Sri Lankan waters heading towards India, Military sources told the Sunday Observer.

The numbers of persons who were on the board at the time of the tragedy was not known and the boat had capsized Indian waters. The Indian Navy had rescued many of them.

The boat had left the shores off the coast of Mannar to India. An Indian Navel ship patrolling the area has sighted the boat and they have rescued the sailors.

The Indian Navy has recovered two bodies and they are in search hunt for the missing persons. The Sri Lankan Navy has been alerted on the incident, Sources added
