Independent Director on Dialog Telekom Board
Former Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the
World Bank Group, M. V. Muhsin has been invited to join the board of Sri
Lanka's premier telecommunications company Dialog Telekom Limited as an
independent non-executive Director.
The invitation extended by Tan Sri Dato' Ir. Md. Radzi Mansor,
Chairman of Dialog Telekom has been accepted by Muhsin.
As the first CIO of the World Bank and prior to his recent
retirement, Muhsin was responsible for aligning Information Technology
to the organisation's business strategy.
He successfully implemented major reforms in global
telecommunications, video conferencing, information management and
enterprise business systems.
Prior to joining the World Bank, Muhsin worked in senior positions in
the private sector in Sri Lanka and served for several years as an
advisor to the then President of Zambia, Dr. Kenneth Kaunda on state
enterprise reform and as the group financial director of Zambia's Mining
and Industrial conglomerate. An old boy of Trinity College, Kandy,
Muhsin is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri
Lanka. |
