Nippolac plans to explore overseas markets

Nippolac has plans to explore overseas markets, which is the next step in their expansion program and marketing strategy, a spokesman for the company said.

Silico Colour Coatings (Pvt) Ltd., Specialty Construction Chemicals (Pvt) Ltd., and Ceylon Resinoplastics Ltd. manufacture industrial, decorative and automotive paints under the Nippolac umbrella.

The spokesman said Silico Colour Coatings specialises in computerised tinting and colour matching and has highly specialised colour matching system showrooms all over the island.

Speciality construction chemicals provides construction chemicals for domestic and industrial use, for water proofing roofs, swimming pool, dams and tunnels in massive construction projects. Ceylon Resinoplastics provides raw materials locally for paints from the newly installed industrial resin plant.

The Nippolac Group is headquartered in Matara and Colombo, at "Nippolac Towers, with ultra-modern office complexes that also serve as distribution centres. Production takes place in factories, which are equipped with the most state-of-the-art machinery and facilities available in the paint industry today.

Founder/Chairman/Managing Director of Nippolac Group of Companies Raja Hewabowala holds a diploma in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Moratuwa.

Nippolac is the only Sri Lankan paint manufacturer, who has been granted, the SLS product certification mark and the ISO 9001:2000 certificate by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution.
