Infant needs your help

Infant Gangamini Gunasekara has been advised by Dr. Prasad K. (Consultant Cardiac Surgeon) of the Appollo Hospital, Colombo, to undergo intracardiac repair, as soon as possible.

The surgery will cost around Rs. 400,000 and with other costs the total will be around Rs. 700,000.

Infant's father Priyantha is a clerk attached to a private firm and is not in a position to raise this sum.

The mother and father seek contributions from the generous public. Contributions may be remitted in favour of Gangamini V. Gunasekera, Bank of Ceylon, Kotahena, A/c No. 663/5157069.

Teacher needs a kidney

A father of two small children, H.P. Mahinda (43) attached to the staff of St. Thomas' College, Matara is suffering from an acute kidney ailment. The nephrologist Dr. Chula Herath at Sri Jayawardenapura Hospital, who is treating him, has advised to undergo an urgent kidney transplant.
