Elevating Lifestyle - iStyle

Elegance. Beauty. Cutting edge technology and Integration. These are a few things that rhyme synonymously with Apple products.

The iPod and the Macintosh Computer have not only created a small market share for themselves in the tech arena, but they've also managed to capture a decently dedicated loyalty crowd that sticks with the most latest and up-to date Apple products with utmost allegiance.

So for the enthusiasts, Apple is not a mere brand. It's a lifestyle. A cult. And a lifelong religion.

We've seen a lot of iPod dealers and Mac distributors in our little paradise island. But to become a priest in this cult, the dealer also has to have an undenying faith towards the cult. That's how the Sunday Observer Magazine got to be acquainted with a small but humble place in the vicinities of Duplication Road.

When you enter the place the spaciousness and the incredibly white background of the holy ground sets the mood for an incredibly liberated experience. The Macintosh computers and laptops which are displayed are completely free of charge to play around with and experiment.

It's also a wifi hotspot so you can even check your mail or surf the Internet while you're fooling around with the machines. It's won't be long till you'll be drowned in the apple lifestyle....

"We want to make a statement without making a statement," says Wijitha Wijesekera, the Stratergic Planning and Creative Director of BTStores. "And because of that we've carefully selected a range of products that elevate the person's lifestyle."

The place also provides you with the huge widescreen display that can be used for learning apple software free of charge. Up to 9 people can watch the video tutorials and they are assisted by Apple Product Professionals.

"The thing about the Mac Operating system is that all the software needed is already installed when you buy the computer," says Wijitha. "The Intel Macs do allow you to enjoy the freedom of Windows and normal PC software but getting to know Mac software is world of its own."

BTStores is also famous in school going crowd for the computer games they allow to play via Local Area Networks and the upstairs LAN room get's a little crowded after school time.

On a side they also have a selection they call the BTBooks and BTMusik. According to Wijitha this is a very selective array of books ranging from marketing, leadership to world issues and controversy, while the music is also focused on a specific standpoint; lounge and house.

BTStores is also a partner of Buisness Today Magazine and Explore Sri Lanka Magazine which already puts them on top of a loyalty customer base and according to Wijitha they also provide an excellent after-sales service for the products.

To point out the obvious, all these detail add to the strangely tempting cult of the Mac and iPod. Finally it seems that Apple products have got themselves a worthy distributor.
