Rare coincidence

It is rare; unbelievable; but it has happened in Sri Lanka too.

Have you ever heard in Sri Lanka about the birth of three children born on the same day eventhough the year of birth differs. All three of them celebrate their birthday on the 10th of November as they did in the past.

These children of M. S. M. Issath and M. Z. Fathima Badriya, namely, Fathima Isna, Fathima Insha and M. Yehiya Ayyash of China Fort, Beruwala will greet each other on this rare occasion. Eldest child Fathima Isna was born on 10.11.1993, second one Fathima Insha on 10.11.1996 and the third M. Yehiya Ayyash on 10.11.2001 at the Durdans Hospital, Colombo, attended by Prof. Wilfred Perera.

According to him, during his long service, this was the first time such a coincidental story goes into record in Sri Lanka. Two such cases were reported from abroad, one in Norway and the other in the United Kingdom during his medical career.

Fathima Isna celebrated her 13th birthday, Fathima Insha Zainab her 10th birthday and M. Yehiya Ayyash his fifth on the tenth day of November, this year.
