Lake House win 4 titles

TABLE TENNIS: Lake House put up a fine display to clinch four titles and two runners-up titles at the Nationalised Services Open Table Tennis Championships this year at S. Thomas' College Indoor Stadium in Mount Lavinia.

Lake House emerged champions in Open Women's Singles, Veteran Women's Singles, Open Women Doubles and Open Mixed Doubles, while the runners-up titles in Open Mixed Doubles and Open Men's singles too came Lake House way.

In Open Women's Singles final, Namal Gunasekara (Lake House) beat Ira Ruwanpathirana (People's Bank).

Namal Gunasekera again beat Ira Ruwanpathirana of People's Bank in the Veteran Women's Singles, then Namal Gunasekera and Champa de Silva of Lake House beat Amara Chandrathilaka and L. Wijewickrema of NAITA in the Open Women's Doubles while R. A. Wimalasena and Namal Gunasekera in the Open Mixed Doubles beat National Savings Bank's Prabath Indrajith and Gayani Kalutotage.

In the Men's Doubles final, Sarath Wijesooriya and Waruna Gunawardena of National Savings Bank beat R. A. Wimalasena and Chaminda Wijegunawardane of Lake House in Open Men's Doubles.
