Rugby Football introduced to Welimada

RUGBY FOOTBALL: The game of rugby football has been introduced to the schools in Welimada under the Uva Province Rugby Football Development Programme 2006/2008 organised by the Regional Development Officer T. Denzil Darling.

Around two hundred students and 25 teachers attended a training programme conducted recently at Ambagasdowa Public grounds in Welimada. The training programme was conducted by the Sri Lanka Rugby Football Development Committee Manager Sarath Ranaweera, T. Denzil Darling, Senior Technical Officers Bazil Rodrigo and B. K. Ramachandran.
