101st Kingswood - Dharmaraja on March 30 and 31

CRICKET: The Dharmaraja vs Kingswood 101st annual encounter will be played on March 30 and 31 at the Asgiriya Stadium, Kandy. This encounter is the Oldest in the hill capital and will be played for the "T.B. Tennekoon Trophy".

Dharmaraja has won 31 encounters and their last victory was in 1980 under the captaincy of Janaka Mendis while Kingswood's last victory was in 1958 under the captaincy of Maurice Fernando. The old boys unions of the two schools are making elaborate plans for the annual encounter. Before the 'Big Match' comes on, the two old boys teams and staff teams will play limited-over cricket matches.

There was a meeting arranged recently between the two principals - S.M. Keerthiratne (Dharmaraja) and Ranjith Chandrasekera (Kingswood) and representatives of the two old boys unions regarding the arrangements for the match.
