Wijewardena 11 wickets

CRICKET: Paceman Chanka Wijewardena bowled effectively to bag a match haul of 11 for 41 to help St. Benedict's to register a comfortable 8 wickets win over St. Anne's in their school cricket match played at Kotahena yesterday.

Wijewardena who claimed 7 for 18 on Friday to dismiss the visitors for 119 continued the same form to capture 4 for 23. Annaites failed once again to a low 80 in their second essay.

St. Anne's 119 and 80 (C. Pathirana 31 n.o. S. Silva 31, C. Wijewardena 4 for 23, Dilshan Perea 2 for 11, Amila Perera 3 for 2) St. Benedict's 162 and 38 for 2 (Nizal Fonseka 20).
