Ssangyong SUV the fastest growing automotive

Ssangyong-SUV is one of the fastest growing automotive brands globally, particularly in the Suv segment.

The Ssangyong uses a triple layer ladder chassis making it the strongest chassis in this class. The triple layer is much tougher than a single layer. Ssangyong, a specialist Suv maker is based in Korea. In 2006 Ssangyong entered into an

agreement with Micro Cars Ltd., to assemble its Suvs in Sri Lanka. The Micro was selected despite competition, because of its experience in building cars and its know-how in the field. Ssangyong builds its Suvs around Mercedes Benz power plants (engines). The Mercedes produces the best in diesel auto engines in the world. Ssangyong Kyron

The Kyron styling comes from an inhouse team led by Suv designer Ken Greenley. Kyron is built by Ssangyong, the fourth largest car maker in South Korea.

The name Ssangyong means twin dragons. It was founded as Hadoughwan Motor Company in 1954 and started by building Jeeps for the US Army. The ties with Daimler Benz in the early 1990s saw Benz engines used in early models. Ssangyong is a specialist Suv maker and the company does not manufacture cars or other vehicles.
