Archaeological Advisory Committee seeks public views
Minister of National Heritage Anura Bandaranaike has appointed an
advisory committee to guide the Department of Archaeology. This
committee is responsible for assisting the Department in formulating the
policies and strategies that ensure the sustainable management of
historical and archaeological heritage of the country and preservation
of this legacy for the posterity.
The committee seeks the views and suggestions on these matters such
as deficiencies in the present management practices, remedial measures,
and ways and means of harnessing archaeological resources to the socio
economic development.
