Archbishop commends Govt's move to resettle displaced families in
East

The Secretary of the Congregation of Divine Mercy of the Sacrament
Archbishop, Rt. Rev. Dr Malcolm Ranjith commended the Government's move
to resettle displaced families in the Eastern Province when he met
President Mahinda Rajapaksa at President's House last week.
During the discussion they exchanged views about the development
programs launched by the government to upgrade the living conditions of
the people in the Northern and Eastern Provinces.
The Archbishop also lauded the development programs launched by the
Government to develop infrastructure facilities with the help of the
international community in the conflict affected areas for the benefit
of the people who had undergone immense hardships during the past two
decades.
The Archbishop called upon all communities to live in harmony in a
peaceful atmosphere by strengthening ties between one another to create
a better tomorrow for the future generation.
