T. B. ward for Kegalle Hospital - a response

I refer to the article titled "Hospitals reluctant to admit T. B. patients' in the Sunday Observer of 15.10.07 on page 91, and wish to draw the attention of the Health Department and the public to the above. Let us initiate action to build a separate T. B. ward for the Kegalle Hospital, we can help the department by establishing a fund for this purpose.

The majority of T.B. cases in Kegalle district have been found among estate workers, garment employees and three-wheeler drivers. I am sure the employers will contribute willingly once they are aware of the facts. T.B. can be cured.
