Prudential shipping lines completes 10 years

Prudential shipping lines completed 10 years of service to the Shipping Industry in Sri Lanka. With the Colombo Harbour becoming a hub port in the South Asian region, the need for services in the shipping and logistics sector has increased tremendously.

Chairman of Prudential H. D. Gunawardena, having realised this potential set up Prudential Shipping Lines (Pte) Ltd., and entered the highly competitive market in 1998 initially offering Shipping Agency services to many Ship owners/operators calling at Sri Lankan ports in Colombo, Galle and Trincomalee providing quality services to the shipping industry.

Within a few years of its existence Prudential Shipping, diversified its activities to cover a host of Marine related services a total Logistics services to the local Import/Export trade.

The services offered by Prudential Shipping today covers Ship Agency, Freight forwarding, Warehousing, Customs Clearing and Forwarding, NVOCC Agency and Total Logistics services tailor-made to suit individual customers.
