It was a show with a difference, something I had not experienced
before; one of the best forms of dramatic effects synchronized with a
live cast, performed in the open against a backdrop of a sandy stretch
of land extending far and wide with the use of pyrotechnics, captivating
music and stunning bursts of fire, water jets, brilliant lasers and
special computer imaging.
A highly sophisticated piece of dramatic art with the use of
unlimited space was very effective and kept the audience spellbound. The
'Songs of the Sea' is a show no visitor to Singapore should ever miss
out on.
As the music is played and harmonized by the famous actors, the
bursts of fire keep on changing in colour, the use of pyrotechnics at
its best speaks for this highly sophisticated piece of dramatic
rendering.
The brilliant use of lasers makes it possible to portray cartoon
characters and images which go into the dramatic effects. Held every
weekend and public holiday, The 'Songs of the Sea' draws the interest of
both the young and the old; a large gathering who time it perfectly to
find themselves the best view.
However, I observed that where ever you chose to sit it makes no
difference, you could have a good view of the show; sit back and enjoy
the captivating music and dramatic effects.
