$ 20 m machinery installed at TCCL factory

Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) Ltd. (TCCL) installed new machinery at a cost of US $ 20 million at their Trincomalee factory recently.

A trial production of this machinery, namely a Vertical Roller Mill was successfully conducted at its Trincomalee factory.

The new machine is the latest Cement Grinding Technology from M/s, Kruppe Polysius, Germany and has the capacity to produce 900,000 MT per annum. Once in full operation, the total production will be enhanced to 1.8 million tons per annum at the Trincomalee factory.

With the Company's Bagging Project at the Port of Colombo having a capacity of 600,000 MT per annum, the Company's total production capacity will increase to 2.4 MT per annum, the highest in the Cement Industry in Sri Lanka. All Tokyo Cement Group products are SLS certified.

Tokyo Cement Group will intensify distribution and ensure that all Company products are available in all hardware outlets.
