DFCC Bank receives gold award for HR practices
DFCC Bank was presented with a Gold Award, benchmarking the Bank's HR
practices against other leading companies at the recently held National
HRM Awards 2007.
The HRM Awards 2007 was aimed at assessing the maturity of HR systems
and processes in leading organisations across Sri Lanka. The study
conducted by Hewitt Associates, the world's largest HR consulting and
outsourcing firm, attempted to understand the quality of design of the
HR processes in the participating organisations and the alignment of the
processes with the overall business objectives.
From a large number of entries, 19 companies were short-listed and
the reports prepared by Hewitt were presented to a panel consisting of
local and international judges without divulging any of the company
names.
Over the years, DFCC Bank has invested considerably to put in place
top of the line HR systems. The Bank has continuously improved on its HR
practices, moving from fixed salary scales and increments to salary
bands, performance related variable pay structures and bonuses.
A fully-fledged HR Information System that encompasses a range of HR
practices is accessible to all employees. |
