SLT to enhance ETI's communication capabilities

Sri Lanka Telecom, (SLT) has signed an agreement with Edirisinghe Trust Investments (ETI), a leading finance company in Sri Lanka to provide an Internet Protocol Virtual Private Network (IP/VPN) solution. This state-of-the-art data communication solution will seamlessly connect its nation-wide 31 ETI branches across the country to the head office in Colombo.

Chief Business Development officer SLT Priyantha Perera and Chief Executive Officer, ETI Mahendra de Silva exchange the agreements.

An IP-VPN data network features the capability to provide voice, video, internet and mission critical data services across the enterprise.

This enables the organisation to benefit from direct cost savings as well as making their operations smoother as they gain the ability to communicate efficiently with people within the organisation immaterial of location and access vital information across the network at any time.

CEO, ETI Mahendra de Silva said, "We have already seen the benefits, especially in terms of cost effectiveness with the IP/VPN solution SLT has provided us.

Reliability, quality of service as well as it being a customised solution based on our requirement are some of the additional benefits. This is the beginning of a fruitful relationship with a communication giant and we hope to see it go from strength to strength in future."

The solution also enhances ETI's capabilities as they are now able to gather and disseminate information with their stakeholders in real time.

ETI is keen to use this system to its fullest potential and introduce innovative products and services such as an online customer service portal through which customers would query their accounts, settle payments and process applications.

Chief Business Development Officer SLT Priyantha Perera said, "We are very happy to provide ETI with a communication solution that will help make their operations smoother as well as enhancing their capabilities.

This will be excellent in terms of giving the company the opportunity to offer more services to its customers as well as communication solutions for the further diversification of their business."
