News updates on Lanka Bell CDMA phones

Subscribers of CDMA leader Lanka Bell can now keep abreast of important happenings in Sri Lanka and around the world with the launch of a News Alert Service, the first of its kind among local CDMA service providers.

The 24-hour service will cover the latest political, defence, finance and sports news and can be activated by subscription, the company said. The service targets a minimum of two news alerts per day and will be available to customers using pre paid and post paid connections.

Lanka Bell customers can register for this service by sending an SMS with the words 'REG NEWS' to 0115755755.

"He said this latest value addition was the result of continuous efforts by Lanka Bell's award winning IT team to expand the scope of the company's service offering via CDMA.
