Training course on acting for television and films

The Sri Lanka Television Training Institute, the national trainer for electronic media launched a training course on Acting for Television and films, to develop the skills of actors and actresses.

The objective of the training course is to familiarise the participants with the concepts of acting, upgrade skills and develop traits that enable overall success in performances before the camera.

The course encompasses a range of theoretical and practical training to develop personality and psychological traits conducive for successful acting.

The Course Director of Acting for TV and Film is the veteran actor and Director Bandula Vithanage, while professionals in the field Vasantha Obeyesekera, Jayalal Rohana, Prassanna Jayakody, Mahendra Perera and Saumya Liyanage are the resource persons who comprise the curriculum team.

The course has been scheduled from June 23 to July 18 on weekdays as a full time course, at the Sri Lanka Television Training Institute.
