Caltex gears CGR win National VB titles

VOLLEYBALL: Chevron Lubricants were indeed proud to be associated with the Railway teams that won both the men's and women's National Championship titles last week at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.

Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Chevron Lubricants, Kishu Gomes, said that Caltex came to sponsor CGR's Volleyball only this year and for them to win the national titles so soon shows their commitment to the sport.

He further said that Caltex together with CGR will work towards leveraging the individual competencies and capabilities of the players for further development and will also ensure that necessary equipment will be made available through their sponsorship package.

Over the last 10 years, Chevron in Sri Lanka, has been associated with Motor Racing, Prokarting, Club Cricket, Indoor Cricket, Rugby, Sailing,

Boxing and Volleyball and continues with their sponsorship at national level in Rugby and Boxing and Volleyball at school level too with Boxing. In addition, Caltex also supports the Deaf Schools in their sports endeavours partnering them in Cricket, Volleyball and Netball. L.G.
