English as a lifeline

English is an Indo-European, West German language originated in England, and is the First Language to most people in the Anglophone, Caribbean, Australia, Canada, New Zeeland, Ireland, the United Kingdom and the United States. People from Northwest Germany invaded Eastern England in the 5th centenary AD, and consolidated themselves and the language on the British Soil.
