Wins Achiever of the year 2008 entrepreneurship and business

Chairman of Aspic Corporation Deepthi Perera receives the
Achiever of the year 2008 award in the field of Entrepreneurship
and Business Management from Commercial Bank chairman/president,
International Lions Society Mahendra Amarasuriya.

Chairman of Aspic Corporation Deepthi Perera, was awarded the
Achiever of the Year 2008, in the field of Entrepreneurship and Business
Management by the Lions Club District 301A1 at the Lions Convention at
the BMICH last week.
Among the other award recipients were Prof. Nandasiri in the field of
Arts and Culture, Prof. M.T.M. Jiffrey in the field of Health and
Medicine and Dinesh Weerakkody in the field of Corporate Governance.
Perera, an entrepreneur, innovator and investor with 15 years'
experience holds senior roles in the UK, USA, Australia and Thailand,
building businesses, management teams and private equity firms. He was
also the founder and investor of many ventures including Aspic
Corporation Australia, Thailand and UK. He holds a first class degree in
Business Management and a PhD in Business and Human Behaviour.
Perera plans to take the Aspic Corporation to new heights in the
future, using opportunities to improve the standards of the Sri Lankan
business environment while exercising his commitment to all the
stakeholders of the company.
"This award has an important symbolic value because it confirms my
personal success and the result of the full commitment of the company
employees- the driving force behind my success", Perera said after he
