station for 2001 :
Back to the future
April 2008 marked the 40th anniversary of the
release of classic science fiction movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. The
Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences - the entity that
annually presents the Oscar awards - held a commemorative screening
on 25 April at Hollywood's MGM theatre which was attended by
astronaut Buzz Aldrin, actor Tom Hanks and other heavyweights from
the worlds of space travel and cinema.
