Discussions on climate change

A series of discussions on "Climate change impact on Paddy Cultivation and Adaptation Options" organised by the Ministry of Disaster Management and Human Rights and UNDP will commence on May 29, at SLAAS Auditorium.

The objective is to propagate scientific knowledge and awareness among stakeholders on disaster risk reduction and to provide a forum to discuss different aspects of the issues.

The panel of resource persons include Prof. D. Marabe, Dean Faculty of Agriculture, University of Peradeniya, Dr. B. V. R. Punyawardene, Senior Scientist, Department of Agriculture, Peradeniya, Dr. W. M. W. Weerakoon, Researcher, Rice Research Institute, Batalagoda and Memantha Abeygunawardena, Consultant Practical Action.
