Prizes for outstanding GT Tyre dealers

Outstanding GT Tyre dealers from several parts of the country who
performed well during 2007 were rewarded with air tickets, holiday
packages and other prizes by Douglas and Sons Ltd for their dedicated
service to the company.

The prizes were presented at the GT Awards Night 2008 dealer
convention at the Waters Edge, Battaramulla last week.
Over 390 dealers received over 320 prizes and 235 air tickets and
holiday and tour packages to Indonesia, Dubai, Malaysia and Singapore.
The Indonesian company Gaja Tunggal Tyre network offered the tickets
and tour packages to GT Tyre dealers.
Douglas and Sons Sales Manager, (Tyres) Dhammika Jayaweera said the
event was organised to thank all tyre dealers for their cooperation,
support and commitment. The Awards Night was a symbolic gesture to
honour dealers who sold the most number of GT tyres imported by Douglas
and Sons Ltd, the sole agent in Sri Lanka.
The Best Dealers Gold Award was bagged by Universal Tyre Traders,
Colombo 8.
Universal Tyre Service’s Gamunu Gunewardena said Douglas and Sons
were not only known for their record breaking tyre sales but also for
having a network of loyal dealers. “It’s a privilege to be part of the
network not because of the prizes we get but because of the company’s
sincere commitment to its employees.
Douglas and Sons Ltd, has been a market leader for tyre imports for
over a decade. The company holds a quarter of the market share in tyre
imports.
The company reached the two million mark in sales of GT tyre (Gaja
Tunggal), the best selling imported tyre in Sri Lanka. |
