Sampath Bank felicitates high flyer

Sampath Bank, as part of its corporate responsibility is promoting a knowledge based society has offered encouragement to students in their education, sports activities, special talents with sponsorships, donations and workshops.

Towards achieving this objective in the field of education Sampath Bank recently felicitated Amali Upeksha Jayasinghe, a student of Vishaka Vidyalaya for having achieved the all-island best result at the GCE (Ordinary Level) examination in 2007. To encourage and support the young achievers Sampath Bank rewarded Amali with a financial gift and an X-Set savings account in her name.

This account is specially for young students and Sri Lankans between 13 and 25 which will enable certain benefit to the account holders to look towards a better tomorrow.

The X- Set account will provide Amali with the financial assistance for higher studies when required apart from encouraging the savings habit in her.

The initiative taken by the bank will be a good example for other talented students to follow, a spokesman for the Bank said.
