CRICKET: Malinda Pushpakumara captured five wickets for 49 to
help Saracens SC dismiss the Sri Lanka Schools under 20 team for a
modest 120 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their SLC
under 23 division one tournament match played at the R. Premadasa
Stadium yesterday.
Schools under 20: 120 (U. Peiris 45, M. Fernando 25, M. Pushpakumara
5 for 49).
Saracens SC: 133 for 5 (G. Alwis 36, P. Edirisinghe 25, S. Fernando 3

NCC well placed
NCC were well placed at 48 for 1 in reply to Police SC›s first
innings total of 182 runs on the opening day of their SLC under 23
division one tournament match which commenced at Maitland Place
yesterday.

Shameera Weerasinghe and Ishan Hewage captured four wickets each as
Moors SC dismissed Sri Lanka Army SC for 156 runs in their first innings
on the opening day of their SLC under 23 division one tournament match
which began at Braybrooke Place yesterday.

Two good half centuries from Amal Athulathmudali (89) and Malith
