Management Corp to maintain condominium properties
One-hundred-and-seventy-four beneficiaries of the Islamabad Tsunami
Housing Scheme set up the Management Corporation to maintain their
condominium properties in a proper manner, said Condominium Management
Authority (CMA) Chairman, M. M. Abul Kalam.
He was addressing the beneficiaries of these houses at a community
workshop program for Condominium Planning and Management at "Chirista
Illam" in Kalmunai.
He said that condominium is a new culture and this type of living
will bring amity and understanding among ethnic groups in Kalmunai.
The CMA and NHDA organised the workshop with the participation of GTZ.
Kalam said that Minister Ferial Ashraff is very keen to help those who
obtained houses in Islamabad.
The awareness programs and workshops conducted by the CMA in Kalmunai
brought meaningful results. People of Kalmunai knew the art of
condominium planning and its management.
He said that many public utility programs will be implemented for the
benefit of the beneficiaries. A community centre, sewing centre and
cultural centre will be built on the instructions of Minister Ferial
Ashraff.
GTZ Coordinator Piyal Ganepola said that the beneficiaries of these
housing units should do their best to maintain the common elements.
He said the Islamabad Housing Scheme Management Corporation should
win the award for the Best Management Corporation. "Every Management
Corporation is a legal person in terms of the Apartment Ownership Law.
Accordingly, a Management Corporation is like a mini Government and
members of the MCs are members of the mini government", he said. |
