Karate tourney at Ratgama
The 8th International Jithkwando Championships competition commenced
at Ratgama Maha Vidyalaya Hall, Galle from July 18 for three days, 19
and 20. In earlier occasions this competition was held in other
countries and for the first time Sri Lanka has been selected to hold it
by adding more events.
As a result it is open for Karathe, Kung-fu, Angam Pora and many

Training School’s Founder and Chief Instructor Traditional Martial
Artist Indralal Perera has taken the initiative to hold this competition
under the patronage of Southern Province Instructor Ruwan Nissanka.
According to Jithkwando Federation’s Co-ordinating Officer Prageeth
Perera, over 1,000 local competitors and about 300 competitors from
India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and China are taking part in this
championship.
Those who are engaged in many forms of martial arts can make it a day
to prove their talents to become recipients of awards and certificates,
said Prageeth Perera. |
