Moratu Vidyalaya to felicitate Ajantha Mendis

The Principal and the Tutorial Staff, School Development Society, Past Pupils Association and Students of Moratu Vidyalaya together with the Old Moratu Vidyalians Sports Club have organized a felicitation ceremony to their old boy and the hero of the Asia Cup Ajantha Mendis on 21st July 2008 at 8 a.m. at the College Hall.

The chief guest will be the Minister of Sports and Public Recreation Gamini Lokuge and the special invitees are the Minister of Lands Jeevan Kumaranatunga and former Sri Lanka cricket captain and MP Arjuna Ranatunga.

Furthermore they have made arrangements to felicitate the cricket coach of Ajantha Mendis old Moratu Vidyalian Prasanna Dissanayake and six media personnel who have covered their sports activities of the school from time to time. They are Kelum Srimal, Prasanna Sanjeeva Tennekoon, Sirinan Rajapakse, Dilwin Mendis, Sena Nandaweera and Dammika Rathnaweera.

The vice President of the Moratu Vidyalaya OBA Lakshman Fernando requests all the past pupils to attend this ceremony.
