Why we should follow parents' advice

Parents are the most beloved people on earth for us. Parents have experience, wisdom and knowledge more than us. Our parents love and protect us. They show their affection by taking good care of us.

Their ambition is to ensure that we become good citizens in society. Their advice helps us observe pansil.

The five precepts or what is taught in the religions we practise. Along with advice they also guide us. They never do anything to harm our lives.All religions emphasise the need to respect parents and look after them well.

When we complete five years of age, we are sent to school, Sunday schools and good children's clubs.

They never stop advising. Once they show the correct path and if we go on the wrong path, we are doing them a great wrong.

They shoulder all our burdens and bear responsibilities on our behalf when we are young. Therefore, we must obey them and follow their advice at all times to repay them for all what they have done for us.
