Troops enter Velankulam
Security Forces engaged in humanitarian operations in Wanni,
liberated the LTTE's last stronghold Velankulam last afternoon after a
hard battle fought against terrorists and crossed the Kilinochchi
district boundary.
Velankulam village, located 10 km north of Illupaikadawai in Mannar,
was earlier under LTTE control. |
